I couldn’t be happier with the protection the mask provided while my boy had eye surgery and his weeks of recuperation. The extra fly make on top helped shield the sun from irritating him Thank you so much PS I also got the extra padding so he never had sores
We bought two products - a visor and goggles. So far the visor has been amazing! Willow seems very happy and content in them and just did a great job competing in them. We are working to get her used to the goggles.
My horse is recovering from a stromal eye abcess. My vet recommended and let me borrow hers until I could get mine. I ordered the tinted shield because he has to have atropine drops applied daily. I did add some more fleece around the edge to protect his face from rubbing sores. It stays on really good. The only thing is I wish it was made of a material that wouldn't get scratched as easily. My horse can't see well and I'm constantly cleaning it and trying to make it so that he can see through it better. Other than that, it has saved him from rubbing his irritated eye and offers protection from the sun. I most likely will order a clear one for the evenings as his recovery take months.
Our pony club horse always has eye issues. This is the only mask that he can’t rub his eye and ulcerate it!
My older horse has Cushing disease and gets recurring eye ulcers which led to frequent vet visits and eye medication daily. I’ve been using the Equivisor 24/7 for a couple years now and I love it!! It protects his eyes from injury.
My mare scraped her cornea while she was in the hospital so the vet put this on her. I got one so she could wear it at home. It's easy to take on and off for her eye meds 6x/day. The matching/fitted fly mask is very nice/helpful. My only complaint: the strap for under the chin is a thin material. It's 1" wide but thin (not like a flat halter) and it rolls. She has rubbed her face where the strap curls and the edges rub her skin. I guess the extra padding would have been a good purchase. What's odd is the vet's had thicker straps for under the chin and didn't give her any trouble.
The padding does not fit the mask at all and doesn't cover where it should
I needed a way to protect our horse from hitting his left eye socket/brow bone after he had his eye enucleated. This was the answer! He seems a lot more relaxed and confident now that he is protected. The fly mask cover fits really well. Thank you!
Had trouble keeping it on but seem to have worked that out. Probably going to order the padding set.

Straps rubbed hair off his cheek after 2 days so added halter fleece. Width of visor prevents him from drinking below about half the water in bucket hung on wall. Otherwise okay.
This product has been super useful in trying to protect our mini donkey's eye before and after having a mass removed that grew on the corner of her eye.
Just tried on today. Seems very comfortable for my guy. So far so good.
Just got the visor, put it on yesterday and put the fly cover over top, horse seems to like it so far and so do I.

Is working very good on protecting and letting tuff see better with one eye. He had am ulcer and has keratitis as well.

As an equine veterinary practice we just tried your recovery vizor for the first time on a patient with a serious eye injury. So far it appears to be protecting the eye well. The full size fits the horse very comfortably.

The eye visor has drastically reduced the frequency of corneal ulcers that my horse deals with. It’s been a game changer and I’m so thankful to not have to have so many vet calls because he won’t leave his eye alone.
It is helping Gus protect his eye. I find that it does shift to the side where the hooks are. So it sits on his face crooked. Other than that its great.
My older mare is having a terrible summer and really bad sweet itch. She’s 24 and managed to itch a hole in her eyeball. She’s had a halo type fly mask but was still managing to itch around her eye, the equivizor is the only thing that has kept her from itching her eye and with the special padding it’s not rubbing her delicate grey skin off even in 100 degree heat and humidity. It’s a life saver, I actually purchased one used and one new so I can switch them out. Even once she’s gone I will keep these on hand forever.
This is the 14 Arab mare that I purchased the cob sized recovery visor for. She did fit into the full sized one, but I wanted one that she would wear outside everyday. She is her own worst enemy, because she loves rolling in the sand and getting dirt in her eyes. She lost her right eye 4 years ago from a stromyl abscess, grinding her head in the sand. This mask has reduced the chances that she will do the same to the other eye. Thank you for such an innovative product!!!
My mare Bailey has suffered from ERU and corneal ulcers for the past two years. The pain and itching have been awful, causing her to scratch, which brought on MORE ulcers! This recovery visor saved the day but, unfortunately, not her eye. In March we had to have her eye removed. The visor saved us again, post surgery. She has to wear it for the rest of her life, to prevent more corneal ulcers in her only remaining eye. I've had to buy THREE of these so far. I'm about to buy a fourth. I only wish they were cheaper, or I could get a discount for buying so many.
After I checked out I got an email from their customer service. They recommended getting a smaller size based on my horse’s height and breed. I took their advice and it fits perfectly!

This recovery vizor has been a life saver! The additional padding is a must, especially for long term use. I almost wish that there was padding sewn in on all the straps, but overall, it is a great product, and the only thing that has kept my horse from rubbing her eyes during recovery

This fits my yearling perfectly and protects her good eye when she's in the pasture with lots of trees! I'm sure I'll be ordering for this site again.
Buttons has ERU and has been successfully wearing the Solar Vizor when out in the pasture for the last few months now. His eyesight has definitely been affected though and he is a bit spooky when he's looking through mesh when he's not in his own stall or pasture. As I like to take him on walks and hope to continue driving him, I thought we'd try the Recovery Vizor. So far, he's doing much better with it than a fly mask. The heavy tint is perfect for our Texas sun. Time will tell if he is safe to drive, but I'm very happy that he's more confident with this vizor on our walks.
The Equivisor has been a game changer for Thunder’s recurrent corneal ulcers. He doesn’t mind the mask, and it keeps him from reinjuring his eyes, which has kept us from having to opt for eye surgery.
This visor protects Ed’s eye from debris and wind. Not sure what we would do without it!
Really impressed so far with the durability of this protective visor. It's hard to believe that it's blocking so much UV, but the proof is in his skin not burning and he seems less 'squinty'. He wears this in the pasture and trailer and the riding goggles while being ridden. He is so much more comfortable now! The reason for four stars, not five, is the high price and that it has sticker residue that attracts a lot of ick. This is a game changer for pale face blue eyed horses along with the rising goggles!
We ordered a clear recovery mask and a tinted recovery mask. They fit well, my horse had no issue wearing them and we love the eye protection.
Got this visor to protect my 8-month old AQHA (cob size) who has recurring corneal ulcers. It keeps him itching and/or poking it on anything he can find. I bought the additional padding set, and I will say that it is a must, especially if your horse has to wear it for longer periods of time. When it gets dirty, I’ll just gentle wash it in the bathtub with luck warm water and no soap. I use a microfiber cloth to dry the lens part so he doesn’t have any water marks or streaks. What an awesome product!!
Bought the EquiVisor after a uveitis diagnosis which fit well. But, she kept rubbing her eye and preventing the ulcer from clearing. The Recovery Vizor did the trick! The ulcer healed up and also provides UV protection required!
