It took a little while for her to get used to it and to get the fit right, but now she wears it on walks and it seems to be helping with her photo sensitivity.

We purchased two dark UV tint Optivisor’s for our dogs. The customer service to ensure a proper fit is top notch. They truly care.

I have a 13 year old dog who struggles with his eye sight especially in sunlight- it's always a struggle when out during the day time. Although he wasn't a fan of the mask, he was finally able to take a walk without flinching every other second. It was a joy to seem him enjoy a walk on a sunny day. We work with many rescues and always recommend the OptiVizor for dogs with eye issues or light sensitivity. Our Chocolate Lab used one for safety and loved it.

After our little dog had eye surgery we warned the vet that she did not do well with cones. The vet recommended a small face shield instead. We found this product and ordered it. It seemed to be well made and probably would have worked super well. Unfortunately we ended up ordering the wrong style and weren't able to get a replacement in time to actually use it. But I'd still order one again if we get into a situation where we need one. The order and return process was straightforward and customer service was fantastic.

Great OptiVizor Even though I followed your instructions on how to measure my dogs head, the size small/medium (22-55 lbs) was a too large for him - a cocker spaniel weighing 27lbs. I had to remove more than the three cutting lines and it did not fit as snug as it should have but it worked well enough for his enucleation surgery. It was so much better than the typical cone that he would have gotten from the vet's office. I did not have enough time to return it for a smaller one. I think the product is wonderful and would recommend it over that cone. My vet absolutely loved it and I gave her the brochure that came with it. My dog didn't seem to mind wearing it all. And after I cut it down, he could eat with it on. He only had to wear it for 5 days and this product was well worth it.

Perfect for post-radiation protection I can’t thank you enough for the development of this product. I was a perfect alternative to using a cone. My 10 year old Golden Retriever had completed radiation treatment for cancer in his sinus. The area surrounding his left eye was effected and all of his fur and top dermis fell off. It was very painful for him. After a few days of wearing the Optivisor, the area scabbed over with out him rubbing it too much and he no longer needed to wear it. I would recommend perhaps putting some air holes in the visor so to air out condensation. Our radiation oncology vet was interested in your product and has looked into recommending it for other patients.

Optivisor A+ This optivisor was wonderful for our golden retriever who just had entropion eye surgery. The shipping was incredibly quick and the mask protected our pup's eyes and head perfectly. She was no longer running into things with the awful wide surgery cone. Our puppy went from frustrated (with the cone) to very happy wearing the optivisor. It was such a fantastic help since our dog had to wear something protective over her eyes for 2 weeks - we would have never made it wearing that cone for that long. The optivisor is well made, easy to put on, and can be washed so nicely. Also, our dog was able to drink and sleep comfortably with the optivisor. When we went to the vet to get our puppy's stitches removed, our vet LOVED it and actually asked to take a look at it. A great product at a reasonable price with excellent customer service to boot!

Great Option We have a Boston Terrier who is having eye issues and we are fighting to keep him from going blind. When we have the Optivizor on him he is able to be a "dog" for a while - chewing on his toys, licking his feet and best of all being able to use the "doggy door".

Best damn non-cone there is. My baby girl had cataract surgery and she would find ways to rub her eyes with the cone on. I thought that I would end up paying another 5grand to fix the damage. I saw some woman walking a dog with the optivisor and thought to myself... what is that and how can I get one. I started googling and finally found the optivisor and I can't tell you how effective it is. This little girl is feisty and had been able to get her paw into everything. Not with this though. She hadn’t been able to take it off. She hasn’t been able to get to her eyes. Optivisor literally saved me money. I absolutely recommend this product.

Great product! This truly is a wonderful product and a very good idea! My dog struggled with it for a couple of reasons, he could not get used to the straps around his chin, when I put it on him tight enough so he could not get it off he would stand in one place with his head tilted and would not walk If I loosened the straps he would take it off which is odd, he never takes anything I put on him off, he has been trained not to do so. I had him wear it for 2 days but he never got used to it at all so we went back to the cone for protection while he was healing from eye removal surgery. All that being said this item will be wonderful when going on hikes and at other times when his remaining eye needs some extra protection! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is concerned about their dog’s eyes and such!

Optivizor great for houdini dogs! I tried this out because my dog can get out of any cone combination I've ever tried. She did manage to get this off the first couple of days, but I followed the instructions for "Houdini dogs" (tape on the notches, tighten the chin strap) and she totally kept it on! She has issues with corneal ulcers and I needed something she would keep on if we decide to go with surgery. This visor is awesome - and she can eat, drink, play, and sleep comfortably!

Awesome optivizor These are awesome! The regular snout was a little too snug on our bulldog's face, he is sorta "in between" both snout options. The short snout was a little better fit. He didn't have to have eye surgery afterall, so we returned both masks without any problems. The customer service is fantastic! They answered my many questions, reviewed pictures, and provided great suggestions. Super friendly too! I highly recommend Protective Pet Solutions!

Optivizor regular snout - mini We had to buy two different sizes to get one that fit correctly, but it is a great product and is more comfortable than a cone for our blind dog. Customer service was VERY prompt and helpful and checked pictures of our dog in the optivizor to ensure proper fit. Highly recommend the product and company.

Great concept! From my point of view it's a great concept. Our Frank however is not a big fan. Fits well but maybe a lighter, thinner plastic on the face shield for smaller dogs? I would recommend this product.

OptiVizor Regular Snouted Dogs Wow - just love this for my 15 yr old Australian Shepherd who just underwent an eye procedure. She can walk around freely without banging into things. It is strong enough that the OptiVizor doesn't bend when she tries to rub her face so her eye stays protected.

Amazing product My 85 lb lab/pittie mix had a growth removed from his eye, and had to be in an e-collar for 2 weeks. He could not eat, drink, or maneuver my split level home in it. Also, it did not protect his eye from my other 85 lb lab/rottie mix or anything else that came directly at him. I spent some time on Google and found the Optivisor. It took no time to get it on Charlie and he quickly became used to it. I felt it gave him complete protection while allowing him total freedom to eat, drink and move. I didn't have to worry about anything getting to his eye, and medication was easy to apply. My husband is taking Charlie to get his stitches out, and to tell the opthomologist veterinarian about the Optivisor. I really cannot say enough good things about this product. I spent a lot of money on the surgery, so a few more dollars for this was nothing, plus the price of my doggo's comfort is beyond measure!

Love it It does get foggy/dirty on the inside. Easy to wipe down. It was harder for my old dog to see, she actually runs into things more with it on, which is why I bought it for her; to protect her eyes. It's a bit funny and sad at the same time.

For my Blind Dog It took me a few trys before getting to to fit just right. Got it to fit good. It helps a lot with protecting his eyes from hitting corners and furniture. He did try to take off a few times but I just told him NO! I only had him wear it a few hours a day so he would get use to wearing it. That helped. Overall works great for what I wanted. Highly recommend. He does still play around with my other dog so it did get a few scratches, but oh well. Thanks!!

Genius idea! The optivisor has been the difference between saving the eye or losing the eye. Fritz sustained a serious eye injury back in January, and I wish I had known about this product back then! It has taken months for the healing process, mostly because I have multiple dogs in the household (I operate a home based boarding service), and the regular e-collar that he had to wear 24/7 did not protect him from multiple wagging tails. He was whacked over and over, which prolonged the injury. We were at the point of discussing removing the eye because his quality of life was becoming so poor, when our vet told us about an email she had received about your product. I ordered THAT DAY, toy size and small size (as suggested to order a couple sizes). The minute it was delivered, it went on him, and, finally, I could breathe a sigh of relief! He’s been wearing it for a couple weeks now and he can be around the other dogs safely, even when the are exuberantly greeting me at the door with tails whipping wildly (pretty much all the time). The only real drawback is that he doesn’t like it. He is pretty sensitive to anything constricting his face, and he does paw at it quite a bit. But for me, it’s a trade off. He will be wearing it for several months, until we are sure the eye is stable. I’m so thankful to have found your company! Wendye Everman :paw_prints:

perfect solution My Bichon developed diabetes, then went blind. His eyes were vulnerable to being jabbed and scratched when he walked around outside. His Optivisor is the perfect solution. I trimmed excess length so he could eat and drink while wearing it.

Great alternative to the e-collar! The OptiVisor provides a great alternative to the e-collar for dogs with eye injuries. My little Doxie mix had a corneal ulcer and could not tolerate wearing an e-collar. While she wasn't thrilled with wearing any protective device, she was much more tolerant of the Optivisor and I am happy to say that her eye is completely healed. Thank you for this common-sense approach to preventing dogs with eye injuries from re-injuring their eyes and giving them a better chance to heal.

Amazing This was a life saver for my little girl. She is tiny and that cone of shame was more of a cone of danger for her. This allows her to walk around in comfort, put her head down and sniff, smell and eat and to sleep on her back in comfort.

From doubtful to DELIGHTED! So very happy with this purchase. Our Saint Bernard is so big and somewhat destructive so I thought there was no way this mask would hold up but we needed something to keep him from scratching up his face and eyes after having eye surgery. We knew a regular cone would never work but when I saw this mask I figured we’d try it out. I feel that the price was right and could just see. We even decided to buy 2 just in case he did destroy it. It held up so great!! Kept him clean and free from dirt and snow while he healed up. We were able to return the 2nd one since we had never even taken it out if that package and the return process was so seamless and easy. AWESOME customer service. Great protection for eye problems. Our standard poodle had a cyst on her eyelid that, according to the vet, "erupted," almost covering her entire eye. This was an irritation for her, which precipitated her scratching this growth until it bled. While waiting over the holidays for surgery to remove this cyst, we ordered the OptiVizor to see if would minimize her scratching. It did the job, while allowing her to eat. We just returned from a successful surgery today. The vet was so impressed with the OptiVizor, which he'd never seen before, he said he was going to order several in for future eye surgeries. Our Katie will be wearing hers until the surgery heals in about 1.5 to 2 weeks.

optivizorr review The optimizer works fantastic. My dog can no longer get to her eye with her paw, and it works great for her to use the doggie door, and eat much better than the E-cone ever worked, since she is a clever dog and had figured out how to get that off when unsupervised. Unfortunately, she has figured out a way to rub her eye with the blue inserts, of the optivizor so what I have to do is to put a moleskin patch over where the blue inserts are so she cannot irritate her eye with the actual optiVizor itself. Thanks for inventing this wonderful product. You may have kept my dog from blinding herself with this infection that she is currently suffering from, and kept me from ripping my hair out in frustration. Also my vet, whom I work for found it quite a clever invention and has asked me to give him reports on how the optivizor works out. I'm trying to talk him into getting some and also sell them on his website. I am currently the webmaster of his site.

Great product Our German Shepherd has had a wound under his eye for two months now. He was able to get around the E-collar cone to irritate the scab, thus preventing it from healing. Since receiving the Optivizor, our dog has been unable to irritate the scabbing process, and it looks like we are finally almost healed! It sits comfortably on him and doesn’t impede his vision! He really doesn’t mind wearing it! Awesome product!

Great product We bought the first Optivizor for our blind Min Pin in 2014. It has been great protection for her face. The vizor held up very nicely, only recently getting small tears from a lot of use. The head rest fits perfectly. We did make a modification by removing the valcro straps and replacing them with small bungie straps. All in all, our Min Pin is happy with her Optivizor. I have recommended to our eye vet. She has told me that she has recommended to her clients.

Small fit the best The folks at ProtectivePetSolutions helped us select two sizes to try on our 30 pound Eskie. The small size actually fit the best. We have taken our dog on two short hikes wearing the clear Optivizor. It stayed in place and protected her eyes from bushes and branches. We are very happy with the visor.

Finally, it fits and it works! My 10lb little boston terrier has had eye troubles for the last 11 years. She's losing her vision and needed something to protect her eyes as she's still very active. She also has a very short snout so not much fits, until I found this! They were very helpful as I was suggested to order multiple sizes to find what fit properly. Fantastic creation to help keep your dogs from cataracs leading to blindness. This is an amazing product. Our last "foster' LOVED it, made her feel like Dartth Vader. Unfortunately she also started acting like him (not to worry, she's living with the parents of original owner now and has a big backyard to run in where she can attack all the squirrels, birds, snakes, chipmunks to her heart's delight). Miss her terribly, she was so good with people. Something was "instilled in her" before we took her in -- think she was trained to be an attack dog. But she sure loved her Optivizor, her eyes were so much more comfortable in the sun!

Live this visor! My dog has very sensitive eyes and hated wearing doggles. This visor has been a great alternative. Anytime he goes outside for a walk, he wears his visor and it doesn't seem to bother him at all. Plus he gets all sorts of compliments and laughs from people!

Great design! I was worried about the design of this product but after talking to the reps I decided to give it a try. It is very flexible, form fitting and lightweight. Really nice product!

The tile works as well as the visor! I purchased the Optivizor for my 12 year old beagle after he had his 2nd eye removed. Morrie now has 2 prosthetic eyes that need protection from all the items that can scratch his eyes while he explores the great outdoors. Once he became accustom to wearing the visor, he's able to go wherever his beagle nose takes him without me worrying about potential injury. Best invention This was such a wonderful alternative to a cone after my dog had eye surgery. It allowed him to see and hear and move around freely. It's a genius invention!

Optivizor Review Our dog had cataracts and developed serious eye ulcers. During her treatment, we heard about the Optivizor. It was important to protect the eyes from any further injury. Plus, the cataracts had caused blindness. The Optivizor is wonderful. It not only protects her eyes, but also gives her freedom to move around. Thank you!

Wow. Majorly improved function vs E-COLLAR This was so much easier for my Tibetan Terrier after cataract surgery. He adjusted very quickly and didn't seem to mind it being on! He had previously worn E-collar for earlier eye injury. At that time he was almost blind and the E- collar covered his ears and prevented him from using his nose which were his "tools" for navigating. My calm dog turned into a mad head jerking crazy dog! This is a brilliant solution to those issues and wish my doggy had this for that incident. Also the collar did not afford the level of frontal protection as the optivizor does as he approached bushes and such which had me anxiously trying to prevent catastrophe at every move! This has acted as a "brush guard" and wall protector We have scrapes on visor from immediately post op as he was getting use to his vision returning. Here today to purchase another and also a tinted one for bright light as eyes are more sensitive. Dr. Linton says it can come off in another week, however, she suggests I put it on for walks as it offers such great protection and my dog seems so very comfortable with it. Many people notice how very spiffy he looks too! I had purchased a small/med per measurements and his weight of 29 pounds but the knowledgable eye techs at RocklinEyeCenter found that a size small fit perfectly. Maybe he has a bit of a more slender neck/face. One other note is that you can give eye drops by undoing chin strap and tilting visor back but it is not that easy and when giving multiple drops and ointments, I remove it and sit with a comb or brush as I wait for the 10 min to pass between each. And he loves it! Awesome product that provides super protection, comfort and peace of mind!

Works great We rescued a 12 year old blind dog. A cone didn't work, but so far this has been fantastic...especially outside. Now we don't worry that he will injure his face again.

Incredible product My basset hound needed an eye removed due to glaucoma, and the vet sent him home in a large e-collar. Being so short, he could barely walk in it - not to mention that he was bumping into doorways, furniture, and the other dog. He couldn't eat without assistance. So I hunted around for another solution and found this. It was perfect. With the cone, he could barely do anything. With the visor, he could easily fit through the dog door, get onto the furniture, eat without assistance, and go back to obsessively licking his toes, and walk and navigate. It was a tremendous improvement. I'll be honest - the one issue I had was with his ears. Being a basset, they're just gigantic, and the mask was rubbing and irritating them. So I wrapped the edges under his ears in gauze pads and he was able to make due for the 2 weeks he had it on. Basically, if he was lying down or sleeping, he didn't seem to notice it. But if he got up and moved around he'd decide his ears were itching and rub them on the carpet. The gauze made it bearable, but not perfect. Regardless, it was still a huge improvement for him over wearing the ear collar. For a dog with regular non-basset sized ears, it should work just fine w/o any issue at all. It's a speciality product that would only help with protecting the face, but it was incredibly better than the e-collar. I've highly recommended it to my dog's eye vet, regular vet, and the emergency vet down the street. Absolutely do not hesitate. Also, I will say that the customer service here was top notch - they called me after placing the order and suggested I order two different sizes to ensure they could ship them both promptly and not have a delay if it didn't fit, and generally talked back and forth with me to help me with sizing and advice. I ended up buying a medium and a large, and the medium provided a slightly better fit. Wonderful company. I cannot say enough good things about this purchase.

I am so happy, Our dog had Cataract surgery and has to wear protective gear for four weeks and we were going to go through 5 or six cone of shames if I had not found the Optivizor. Optivisor The optivisor was a much better alternative to a cone for my dog. Gracie after her eye surgery. She could move around with out crashing into things, eat, drink and to into her crate to sleep at night. I only wish the visor was hinged so it could be raised - I had to take it off completely to give her the eyedrops she was supposed to get but it's still a vast improvement over the cone.

To cool for school. After searching for an alternative E-collar solution for my Deaf White Boxer, I found the Optivizor. I purchased the Medium Regular Snouted size. She didn't like it at all. We marked a dotted line around her nose and cut the shield back to give her air. Now she is getting use to it. We are spending time in and out of the shield to get her accustomed to it for her eye surgery in a few weeks. I found the best thing to help her adjust, is to leave it on if she asks/begs to have it removed. She get's over the tantrum and goes about her daily business. It's wonderful and we have received a lot of "cool" comments about our helmet on our walks. Thank you.

Optivizor eye protection Wonderful overall; whoever invented this device is a genius. Much better for my dog than an e-collar, smaller, more maneuverable, easy to take off and on. A bit tricky getting through the double-paneled dog door but he is managing well.

Great oroduxt and our baby loves it We humans often do not think that the sun does the same to our babies eyes as it does to our. My wife found the Optivizor and I originally ordered the clear version but as soon as I saw it knew she heeded the tinted one. Gayla was fantastic and got the tinted version out the same day and refunded the original version cost as soon as she got it back. Our girl, Lily. lovers her vozor and thinks she is the queen of the condo. She prances like the queen she is and number of owners have asked what it is. Hopefully they will follow up on pur recommendations. We lost our 19 year old lab/beagle mix on Halloween. She had been blind and deaf for the previous two years and we are convinced that all those years in the sun for walks and such were contributory factors to her blindness. You owe it to your dog to get one. Think of how easy it is to amortize the very reasonable cost over the life of the dog and not have to pay later for cataract treatments!! A real no brainer. Recommend without hesitation!!!

Optimizer works perfectly Ava had a growth removed from her eyelid which resulted in two stitches. I ordered the Optivisor, got it in two days and was able to acclimate her to it prior to surgery. It protects her eye from rubbing or scratching and allows full maneuverability. Thank you!
