Available for your Recovery Vizor or Recovery Vizor Fly Mask Jacket. Should your horse find themselves in a possible emergency situation, these original replacement clips are created with safety in mind and will engage the breakaway feature designed to minimize any injury to your horse.

This "Oval" clip is used both on the Recovery Vizor and the Fly Mask Jacket included with the Recovery Vizor. Additionally it may be on some EquiVizor Fly Masks.

If you add a clip with to your Fly Mask Purchase - we will ensure the Clip style matches the fly mask in your order.

NOTE: If the male end (with prongs) breaks, the strap can easily be inserted through the new clip. If the female end breaks, the new female end will need to be sewn to the mask (i.e. seamstress, boot repair store, etc.). We do not offer a mask repair service.

This picture is of my 24 year old appaloosa gelding Charlie Brown. I ordered your protection visor and fly mask after he had managed to scratch his eye and then a sendary fungal infection in the eye which has slowed his healing due to having cushing's disease. I initially tried one of the "bug masks" but he was able to continue to rub the collapsed mask against his eye and continue to damage to his eye. I found your company on the web and decided to try it. He has loved it from day one, he wears both the visor and the mask, due to light sensitivity from the fungal infection, and he enjoys wearing them and will ride in them with no hesitation. Thanks for a well put together and functional piece of equine products. Little Jackie has blue eyes and sufffered terribly with uvitis last year, this mask protected him for six months, no more eye trouble. Wow, these visors are a Godsend! This is Sunny's second one, as he had some very delicate eye surgery due to a corneal abscess and the mask needed to be kept very clean. With two of them I could clean one while other was in use. Although not completely foolproof (he did figure out how to press his eye against inside of visor because it was horribly itchy but he really had to go to great lengths to do it) it still protected his eye and the tubing which was necessary for medications to be delivered. Silly boy did manage to get it off today, but that is extremely rare. He has been in one of these for 3 months straight, 24/7 and today was first time he got it off. Since eye is doing better I have loosened straps a bit and this is probably why. Nonetheless, none of his recovery could have been possible without this visor, and it has certainly helped to keep things somewhat normalized in a very "not normal" situation. Worth the cost for the peace of mind.

Just what my horse needed My horse had an eye removed and was confined to inside his shelter for a few weeks. The tinted recovery mask I already had was doing it's job, except at night when it seemed he was having trouble seeing thru it. So I ordered the clear mask on Thursday afternoon and I received it Saturday! It was just what my horse needed. During the day I also put the dark fly mask on him, but at night, with just the clear recovery mask I could tell he was having an easier time navigating in the dark. Well worth it.

The Recovery Vizor is Amazing! As we have recently discovered, my horse can be quite aggressive with rubbing when his eyes are irritated due to allergies. Recovery vizor clear Still a very nice product. We already own 2 others. Would recommend your manufacturer not put a gum label on the lense, maybe a hang tag is better. Also, would be nice if there was an easy way to seal the strapping after fitting it. Or perhaps a strapping that can be cut without fraying. Still, it's a miracle product and I'm grateful for it. Nice Product This is a very nice mask. The buckle does rub on his cheek bone so having more padding there would be nice (I use cotton). He has gotten it off but overall he wears it well and it allows him to enjoy the pasture without rubbing or poking his eye.

Recovery Vizor Clear UV Tint w/Fly Mask Jacket, I love the recovery Vizor because I can leave it on 24/7 and he has not hurt his eye at all. The fly mask is great for the daytime keeping the flies out of the mask. He did take the mask off once but I was able to take away the object where he hooked the mask on. The only problem is that he has rubbed a spot on his jaw where the strap rubs when he eats. This does not seem to bother him and the scab is gone. I believe that I had the strap on too tight and have made the adjustment. It does take a little while to get the fit correct.

Recovery Visor After a great experience with a Recovery Visor for one of our horses, we just bought another one for use on a Shetland Pony. Both animals easily took to wearing the visor - at times for 24 hours/day. The visors are readily adjustable and fit well. Love This Mask! My horse can get ANY mask off, except this one. He has an eye injury that requires he wear a mask for an extended period of time. Highly Recommend My horse has issues with dust in his eyes and I tried everything to relieve the eye irritation. Different fly masks, watering down his paddock, having the vet evaluate and treat, to I'm on a waiting list to move him to another paddock. Equivizor:tm: Recovery Vizor Clear UV Tint w/Fly Mask Jacket, I just recently purchased this item due to my 35 year old gelding loosing sight in his left eye and almost all sight in his right eye over the past few months. This was due to age and unfortunately due to several traumas to the left eye from gradual loss of sight. My gelding has been having a continual issue with trying to treat severe uveitis. I have only had the mask for about 2 weeks, it took a couple of days to get the proper adjustment. More so as I do not live on the property he is kept at. My gelding is a pro at getting all items off of his head. If he rubs enough he can pull the Vizor off of his ear (s). Overall once I have adjusted the Vizor it remains on a majority of the time (98% of the time). It definitely has stopped any additional trauma to the orbital areas (as long as he keeps it on). I have not put the FLY mask on, but this may help keep the Vizor on a bit better, but if I did it would take away what minimal vision he still has in his right eye causing him to not see fence lines, gates during daylight hours. He has already become a bit less head shy when his head touches items. He would panic even with a slight touch and now that has diminished a bit. I will note that since he is so elderly his bony facial features are the only issue I am having, and this is only due to his age. Unfortunately he h

Cataracts What a great solution. I recently purchased a wonderful horse that has cataracts in both eyes. He previously lived in a wooded pasture, but now lives in an open sunny field. I immediately noticed an increase in him spooking while in the pasture and would come upon another horse and not realize it, until almost bumping into them. I knew the papillary constriction from the sun was causing him issues and had to find a solution. After much research....Your page popped up, so I decided to give the visor a try. What a difference. The first time I put the visor and fly mask on....my horse stood there looking around and licking his lips. He has been wearing it off and on for a week now, with no issues. It's not a cure, but helps him feel more secure out in the pasture.

Good alternative protection to help stop rub Mask is good. However does eAsily scratch the plastic which leaves scrapers and so is no longer totally clear yet does continue protection which is the point. I bought this as my horse has eye problems often. Much of this is because when we let him out at night , he rolls and grinds in the sand, including his face and thus gets sand in his eyes, which he rubs, and then will have swelling by the next t am when I see him. This mask does have holes, so some sand does get in and I have a bit of the same continuing problem however not as bad as before. And mask does protect his eye from rubbing when I put ointment on it etc. just wish I had something to keep sand out. I also purchased the fly mask and I really like it!:smile:

Equivizor Recovery Mask very helpful My horse has keratitis and as a result aggressively rubs his eyes causing repeated corneal ulcers. An animal opthalmologist recommended that he try the Recovery Vizor. It is working really well and hopefully will prevent further injuries. I had tried other masks and solutions but nothing worked til this mask. Gayla was extremely helpful and was able to get the mask to me very quickly to prevent further injury to his eye. Essential for our mare’s safety and happiness We discovered these masks as we were struggling with our mare Stella, who finally had one eye removed and was basically freaking out over limited sight. The previous mask blocked too much of what she had remaining and we were left with considering euthanasia, it was that bad for her and for us. Dangerous. Then another rescue suggested these masks, and it changed her life. With full light and vision back, she was able to return to being a happy horse. These masks do get scratched up and need to be replaced maybe every 18 months, which is VERY LITTLE COST for what it gives our girl. This was a life/eye saver! This visor worked wonderfully for my horse with torn eyelid and cornea abrasion. He accepted it with absolutely no trouble at all, and once he realized his wider face width he got around great in it, both in the barn and out in the pasture. It never came loose or off during the entire week he wore it, and he is a roller and busy player too! Be sure to either cut or duct tape the straps though…. the other horses think they are a great plaything, LOL! Wish I had known about these sooner, but so glad I now have this visor in my tack box just in case I ever need it again. I just can’t say enough about how great the staff at protective pet solutions were in helping me get the sizing right and offering lots of great suggestions and back up support. This mask is protecting Catella’s eyesight Can't say enough good things about this mask. It blocks the both UV rays and light. both of which appear to be triggers for flare ups of my horse who has uveitis. I was using the clear mask originally then covering it with a heavy mask to block light. Catella frequently got fungus infections on her face due to poor air circulation. This mask and fly jacket protect her eye but allow for good circulation. These mask are an invaluable tooling managing my horse’s eye condition.

Equivizor Recovery Vizor with fly mask jacket For my 17H Belgian X Thorobred, the XL is a good fit. She has photosensitivity in the Spring and seemed especially bad this year, hanging out in the darkest corner of the run-in shed, not even wanting to leave it for meals. When she did come out her head jerked uncontrollably. After fitting the visor and mask, she was able to stay out in the pasture all day, grazing. She did not, however, lose the head-shaking when taken into the ring for work, even though she had her Vizor and mask on. (They allow me to bridle her without removing them.) It looks like I will have to wait for the head-shaking to subside in a month or 2 to use her, but in the meantime she is much more comfortable and happy when she is wearing the Vizor and mask. Coolest Equine Shades I love the Equivizor and have already recommended it to 3 people. Sunny seems to enjoy wearing it but has days where he still tries to slip out of it. A few things I've noticed since we started using the mask. We've never really been able to do trails everything made him jump. With the mask on he is eager to hit the trails. It must truly have improved his vision for him. His Poll and his TMJ are no longer an issue. We have water posts (white) that he wouldn't use. Since the mask he has not stopped playing with it. We caught the uveitis at a very early stage but I still can't believe how much it has compromised his vision. The mask has really helped him. THANK YOU!

Best protective eye gear in the country This product is the best thing ever invented! It has been a God Send for Mr. Apache that only has one good eye left. To all that have horses with eye issues this product does the trick and completely protects the eyes. I use the fly mask by day and the protective gear at night and I have the eye specialist look at Apache every three months and the vet has all good things to say about this product. Great mask, but could use a little improvement! This mask is great! I could think of a few small things to improve it. 1. Putting a throat latch type piece in it. My mare was able to pull it off by rubbing and pulling the pill strap on a fence. If it doesn't stay on, it's not going to work for eye protection. 2. Maybe covering the nyalon straps with soft material so it doesn't rub them raw. I added my own "throat latch" piece, and covered the nyalon with the soft material, so so far, so good. It has made it so she can not rub and cause scratches to her cornea, and create ulcers in her eyes. I'm happy with it. Make sure u take it off every day to clean it, and check your horses eyes!

Pays for itself. An eye saver. This product is expensive, but I think it changed my horse's life. I purchased this mask in August 2015 for our horse Hawky, who is mostly if not 100% blind and suffers from uveitis. He wears it 24/7 and very rarely does he ever get the mask off. (Please note that this is NOT a horse who chronically takes off halters and fly masks.) Prior to having this mask Hawky was would have a severely irritated or scratched eye one to several times a month. The mask successfully provides much needed protection from the wind, sun, and from himself scratching his eye or hitting his head. This is evident not only by the fact that his eyes have looked the best that have ever consistently looked in years, but also by the fence paint scuff marks that are left on the mask. Those marks would be on his face if it wasn't for the recovery visor. It has greatly reduced out need to treat his eye eye with stressful, expensive, and time consuming topicals. After 10 months of 24/7 wear, the mask is starting to wear and I will be purchasing another one soon. We put a crusader fly mask with nose over top it in the summer and it works great. The mask does rub the bridge of his nose slightly but that is to be expected if anything is to be worn 24/7. The skin there has toughened and is no longer irritated. This is an invaluable product and I wanted to share my experience.

A Comfort to both of us My horse, Goldie, has chronic uveitis, which is a long, frustrating and sad tale that is going to end in blindness one way or the other. That aside, I have some comfort from the Equivizor mask, which was recommended by the staff at NC State Veterinary Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. He wears it during the day now home at the barn to protect his dilated eye from sunlight and from potential injury due to rubbing, which earlier may have contributed to an ulcer. He doesn't mind it at all and it is easy to slip on and off. The future of his eye is uncertain at this point, but whether it involves surgery or continued meds, I am grateful for the mask.

recovery visor The first night my mare wore it, she managed to get it off. I think I didn't have it tight enough. But since then she has kept it on and seems comfortable in it.
